Corporate History of EXTEL Communications & Cabling

Extel Communications started out as a partnership formed by two ex-Bell Canada employees. Due to de-regulation of inside wiring, it became possible to choose your own contractor to install, repair, and service all inside wiring, both residential, and business.

This was the catalyst for Roger Carr to leave Bell and start Extel. With Roger's extensive telecommunications experience and a keen sense of the needs of the Huntsville and Muskoka community, Extel provides fast, efficient, quality systems and service for both residential and business clients!

Roger and Jana Carr live in Huntsville, Ontario with their two boys, Trevor and Justin. The Carr’s are a busy family with church and community involvements including swimming, skating and basketball as well as volunteering with the local Lion’s Club. Both Roger and Jana feel that it is important to give back to the community in which you work. Roger has incorporated his skills in telecommunication to volunteer in community projects such as the local Women’s Shelter, Chrysalis. Roger and Jana are proud to be raising their boys in Muskoka while servicing the needs of the community through their business. Roger concentrates on Sales and Service while Jana handles the accounting aspect of the company.
